Write a Letter to the Editor
November is an important election, and we need everyone’s help to turn Iowa blue. Help us get the word out in your community by writing a letter to the editor. It’s a great way to get the facts out to your friends and neighbors.Tips for writing a letter to the editor:
- Share your opinion. Write about what you think about the candidates’ positions. The most effective letters to the editor are personal.
- Be respectful. It’s important to be respectful of the opinions of other members of your community. The most effective letters to the editor talk about the issues and candidates’ positions in a concise and respectful manner.
- Include your full contact information in your letter. A newspaper will typically need to contact you by phone before publishing your letter.
